SO A WHILE AGO there was that gif of this dude doing a triple air kick and I was really inspired to try rotoscoping it cause it reminded me a lot of Kye HAHAA. I added some timing delays and smears to help it translate to 2D better (straight rotoscope animations always feels a little too fluid), and did the hair all myself, so there might be some wonkiness in that.

I haven’t done animation in forever though, this was fun but very challenging! Hope to do it again sometime in the future.

here is some designs exploration based on one Zbrush model that I have made earlier during my teaching class at NEW3DGE.
It was to show to my students the fact that 3D (both for characters and environments) can be used as a guide to improve your designs researches and the fact that you don't have to be afraid to break it to find new exciting possibilities.
as a 2D concept artist, 3D is here to help me in my design process and What I wanted to teach them is that you don't have to follow blindly what you have made in 3D, you need to think beyond this point and try to keep searching for interesting ideas, even if you spent a lot of hours building your 3D assets.
Use it as a base, a guide, don't be affraid to think "outside the box"

Hey guys all down with all my classes, very proud of my students!

Will be taking this time to catch up on many things including a full house of new gumroad goodness. Also some free videos much like the How to study and Hardwork ones.

It was awesome revisiting her with this amazing fun theme! Blood Moon is probably my favorite skin theme ever. Who doesn't like a sexy+Oni+Spider lady??

Cover to Batgirl #24.

After studying his work last month, this piece is a bit of a nod to Mike Mignola whom I personally think is the best in the biz at cover composition. And while it doesn't even come close to a Mignola composition, it's now a month later and I still don't hate this cover. That's a victory of sorts I guess. Thanks for the inspiration Mike!
