My finished piece for the Clash of the Classics book! The prompt was to illustrate some iconic conflict from traditional literature and, well, who am I to resist Poe? I've been drawing Fortunato and Montressor in some way or another for years, so it seemed like a good opportunity to revisit some of my older work:

I'll be the first to admit that I bit off a little more than I could chew with this thing- spiritual triptych, an abominable number of elaborately-dressed background characters, like a ton of skulls. Way to simplify, Claire.
