The sexiest thing she ever did, if you ask him.
Sketched last month and only finished during this weekend, while trying to get back at work after various art(and life)-block problems...
Didn't think about what could have actually been the reason for Istaaz reaction, I just found funny the idea of her hitting him... and considering that she isn't as fragile and delicate as she seems, I bet that slap hurt quite a bit. Too bad he actually didn't mind at all.

ATOL Jungle scene

Long time no updates but today I want to present you a project I'm working on for some months. It's a personal project called "ATOL" that will feature the story of two brothers in a very special world. The Cask of Amontillado
My finished piece for the Clash of the Classics book! The prompt was to illustrate some iconic conflict from traditional literature and, well, who am I to resist Poe? I've been drawing Fortunato and Montressor in some way or another for years, so it seemed like a good opportunity to revisit some of my older work:

I'll be the first to admit that I bit off a little more than I could chew with this thing- spiritual triptych, an abominable number of elaborately-dressed background characters, like a ton of skulls. Way to simplify, Claire.

How to Keep Sketchbooks
So... I tried to do some kind of tutorial or some kind of tips and techniques thingy on the purposes of different kinds of sketchbooks (that i at least have) and ways to make the pages inside of them more interesting;; LOL.... some people on tumblr asked if i could do a tutorial on something, but i kind of want to wait until my art is better so that i can actually do an actual drawing or coloring tutorial.. but for now i feel more safe with mini tips and tricks LOL.

WIP Amon Cosplay
I'm sure everyone saw this coming from a mile away. Hell, I saw him before Korra premiered in the preview and I went "Aw, shit, I'm gonna cosplay that." Masks masks masks masks masks
20 HOURS LATER....this. It's a bit too wide and I actually got the top marking really wrong, but well that's what the hood is for, to cover these mistakes.
Mask is made from my usual method, cast of my face in Rigid Wrap (plaster bandages), built and sculpted up with paper clay, sanded to hell and back, and then coated with 10000000 layers of gesso and then also sanded to hell and back.
Colors are acrylic. The mask shade is a combo of a lot of white, some spring green, some golden yellow, some dark tan, and a smidge of brown. I can't really remember the ratio, since it was pretty much mixing until the color looked right. The shade was then mixed with more white to make the base. That thin red line no joke, took me 5 hours to paint. No, I don't have a steady hand.
Hood is from my Phantasm costume, I haven't made the costume yet but I will for New York Comic Con. Hope to see some Equalists there!
Amon is from Legend of Korra and belongs to Nick
